Mattioli Woods has selected BlackRock to enhance its centralised investment proposition (CIP) and expand access to investment solutions for advisers and clients.
The wealth manager’s range of passive multi-asset funds will now invest exclusively in iShares funds by BlackRock.
Mattioli Woods said the collaboration would leverage BlackRock’s global expertise in index investing and provide “best-in-class underlying building blocks” for the Mattioli Woods passive funds. It added that the integration of BlackRock’s investment capabilities would improve efficiency, scalability and cost effectiveness for clients.
As part of the agreement, Mattioli Woods’ re-engineered passive multi-asset fund range is now available to advisers and clients. While Mattioli Woods’ strategic partnership with J.P. Morgan Asset Management had introduced bespoke actively managed growth-tilted portfolios, the latest development has enhanced the wealth manager’s multi-asset passive range through access to the range of iShares funds by BlackRock.
Managing director of client investment solutions at Mattioli Woods, Dean Cheeseman, commented: “Enhancing our passive multi-asset fund range in collaboration with BlackRock marks another important step in the continued evolution of our CIP.
“By combining our established fund framework with BlackRock’s global scale and investment expertise, we are able to deliver high-quality, risk-managed solutions at a highly competitive price point for our clients.
“Our focus remains on building a robust, institutional-grade investment architecture that supports advisers in delivering consistent, outcome-focused strategies across a wide range of client needs.”
Managing director, UK wealth at BlackRock Heather, Christie, added: “We are delighted to have been selected by Mattioli Woods to help strengthen its CIP.
“Access to scalable, index based solutions can help advisers deliver diversified portfolios efficiently, supporting choice, and underscores a shared commitment to helping clients meet their long term financial goals.”
