People moves: Succession Wealth, Ocorian, and Evelyn Partners

Wealth management and financial planning group Succession Wealth has appointed Graham Nicoll as its director of wealth.

Following his appointment, which is subject to regulatory approval, Nicoll will join Succession’s executive committee in a newly created role that will see him manage the firm’s financial planning community and development of the business going forward. He will report directly to Succession Wealth CEO, Roger Marsden. Nicoll joins from Alantra, where he provided corporate finance advice to growing businesses in financial services, fintech and business services. He also previously managed all elements of wealth management and digital investing distribution across Barclays UK.

Ocorian has recruited Jeanette Rooms as its new chief people officer and member of its executive committee.

Rooms joins the firm from sports and digital entertainment platform Kingmakers, where she was group head of HR. Her career in HR spans more than 25 years across several industries, including financial services, where she has worked for GSA Capital, Egg, and Prudential. Ocorian chief executive officer, Chantal Free, commented: “Jeanette’s proven track record in aligning people strategies with business goals will also help us continue driving technological innovation that increases client experience.”

Evelyn Partners has announced the appointment of Rachel Bleakley as an associate director in its Birmingham financial planning team.

Prior to joining Evelyn Partners, Bleakley was a wealth planner at Succession Wealth. She has also worked for Fisher Investments and Chase de Vere Medical. Bleakley’s primary focus at Evelyn Partners will be to help female business owners, entrepreneurs and executives with their retirement planning and general wealth management. Evelyn Partners managing partner, Niraj Vyas, commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Rachel to our growing team of high-quality financial planners across the Midlands.
