People moves: Quintet, ValidPath, and Cazenove Capital

Quintet Private Bank has appointed Lars Kalbreier as group chief investment officer.

Kalbreier will also become a member of the Authorised Management Committee. He succeeds Bryan Crawford and joins Quintet from Bainbridge, where he was a partner. Prior to joining Bainbridge in 2025, Kalbreier served as global chief investment officer and member of the Executive Committee at Edmond de Rothschild Wealth Management. Earlier in his career, he held several senior leadership roles at Bank Vontobel and Credit Suisse, including global chief investment officer, wealth management, at Vontobel. At Credit Suisse, he served as global head of equity & alternatives research and subsequently as global head of mutual funds & ETFs, and was a member of the Group Investment Committee. Kalbreier began his career at J.P. Morgan, first in asset management and later as an equity strategist at J.P. Morgan Securities.

Rimbal, the parent group of ValidPath, has named Brian Wagner as chief technology officer (CTO).

Wagner brings over two decades of experience in software engineering, cloud computing, enterprise security, and AI to the role of ValidPath Group CTO. He previously served as EMEA head of compliance for financial services at Amazon Web Services. Most recently, he served as CTO at a UK-based fintech company. As part of his new role, Wagner will lead the delivery of Rimbal’s technology roadmap, and the scaling of the technological infrastructure that powers the ValidPath independent financial adviser network.

Cazenove Capital, the high net worth (HNW) wealth management business of Schroders, has appointed Ines Ingabire as portfolio director.

In her new role, Ingabire will focus on working with ultra HNW clients and advisers to bring together Cazenove Capital and Schroders Family Office Service’s sustainability, impact and philanthropy capabilities. She joins from Tribe Impact Capital, where she was a wealth manager helping clients to invest with purpose. Prior to her time at Tribe, she held positions at both Seven Investment Management (7IM) and HSBC Asset Management.
