People moves: Aviva Investors, Cazenove Capital, and LGT Wealth Management

Aviva Investors has expanded its UK Wealth team with two new additions.

Eoin Rooney has been appointed as director of digital channels, reporting to head of EMEA wealth, Smera Ashraf, and will be responsible for defining the strategy and leading the distribution of the firm’s investment products in the UK digital wealth market. He has more than a decade of experience in the investment sector, having spent several years at Vanguard where he held a variety of roles in the firm’s UK Personal Investor business. Additionally, Serena Burton has been appointed as strategic partners director in Aviva Investors’ UK Wealth team. She will report to head of UK advisory distribution, Hayley Randall, and will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s strategic partnerships within the UK IFA channel. She has also joined the firm from Vanguard and has over a decade of experience in the investment sector. Burton held several roles at the firm, most recently business development manager.

Cazenove Capital, the wealth management business of Schroders in the UK, has named Lynsey Carson as business development director for Scotland and the North.

In this newly created role, Carson will look to accelerate the firm’s growth and presence in the discretionary fund management (DFM) market, and expand support for financial advisers and their high net worth clients. She brings more than 25 years of experience in financial services to the role, most recently as regional head of distribution for Rathbones Wealth Management. Her career also includes senior roles with LGT Wealth Management, Butterfield Private Bank, and within the RBS Group, including positions at Coutts and NatWest Private Banking.

LGT Wealth Management has appointed Andrew Bell as a wealth planner in its Leeds office and Elliot O’Brien as head of Leeds.

O’Brien’s expanded role as team head will see him take responsibility for driving strategic development across the business, alongside leading the firm’s Leeds office, and will continue to sit as head of strategy development for the firm. Bell has joined LGT Wealth Management with more than 20 years’ experience advising high net worth private clients. His expertise spans pensions and retirement planning, tax-efficient investing, inheritance tax planning, personal protection and wealth structuring, particularly in relation to business exits. Prior to joining LGT Wealth Management in 2025, Bell was a senior wealth planner at UBP. Before that, he spent five years at Investec as a senior financial planner and ran his own directly authorised firm.
