Titan Wealth launches dedicated sports division

Titan Wealth has launched a specialist offering aimed at supporting professional athletes, sports organisations, and executives with bespoke financial planning, career transitions, and corporate benefits.

Its dedicated sports division has been created to address the financial challenges faced by sports professionals, such as short-term contracts, irregular earnings, injury risk, and planning for life beyond their sports career.

The wealth management firm will combine tailored financial coaching and long-term wealth planning across investment, tax and inheritance planning, financial protection, retirement, and ‘second career’ transition services to help athletes “maximise their financial potential”.

Titan Wealth said a core pillar of the division was its Financial Adviser Academy, a platform that supports athletes as they prepare for post-sport financial services careers.

The 18-24 month programme provides qualifications and training to support participants in developing the skills needed to become financial advisers while continuing their careers.

The division will also work with sports clubs, organisations, and owners to develop bespoke corporate benefits programmes, including workplace pensions, key person insurance, healthcare, and wellbeing initiatives.

“We are proud to be bringing together financial expertise and real-world sporting experience to support athletes, clubs and organisations across the industry,” said Titan Wealth chief marketing officer, Mike Fogden.

“Professional sport offers incredible career opportunities, but there is much for sports people to navigate financially.

“Our new sports division aims to provide tailored advice, education and long-term planning that helps athletes build financial resilience, achieve their ambitions and prepare confidently for life beyond sport.”

Titan Wealth sports wealth adviser and former Northampton Saints Premiership player, Ethan Waller, added: “Having spent more than a decade playing professional rugby, I know first-hand how important it is to plan for the future while you are still competing.

“Many athletes focus entirely on performance in the moment, but having the right financial guidance and support early in your career can make a huge difference later on in life.

“The sports division is about giving players the knowledge, tools and opportunities they need to succeed both on and off the pitch.”
