Saxo Bank has announced that Saxo UK has launched a new investment platform, SaxoInvestor, aimed at the growing number of buy-and-hold and active investors in the UK.

The platform will seek to provide investors with the ability to invest a variety of instruments, from stocks and bonds to ETFs and mutual funds.

It will offer active investors access to more than 70,000 global instruments, seeking to provide a diverse portfolio all in one place.

Over the past 12 months, Saxo has been a 38 per cent increase in active investors, with notable rises seen amongst female investors and younger investors.

Saxo UK also highlighted the growing trend of buy-and-hold investors in the UK, particularly those holding stocks and shares ISAs.

The platform is built on the same technology as the group’s other platforms, SaxoTraderGO and SaxoTraderPRO, but seeks to offer a simplified interface designed to meet the needs of the typical investor.

All Saxo Direct clients will keep the same pricing, features such as the screener tool or the ability to create watchlists, and access the analysis they are familiar with, within a “more streamlined, user-friendly design”.

Additionally, clients can switch between SaxoInvestor and SaxoTraderGO, with SaxoInvestor catering to non-leveraged investments, unlike SaxoTraderGO.

Investors can also access insights and investment themes to guide their strategy, and maximise tax-efficient savings by holding all these benefits within an ISA.
