GAM Investments has appointed Francesca Contini as client manager in its UK wholesale distribution team.

Contini joins the team led by head of UK distribution, Steven Williams, and will work alongside Adeyemi Thomas and Tony Morton to support financial advisers, platforms and discretionary managers across the UK. She brings over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry to the role, joining from Pzena Investment Management, where she progressed from a sales support role to a client-facing position, advising intermediary clients.

7IM has named Matthew Yeates and Shanti Kelemen as co-chief investment officers.

Yeates and Kelemen will jointly oversee 7IM’s investment management team, leading the firm’s investment strategy, client communication, and propositional development. Yeates was previously deputy CIO at 7IM and has held senior positions within the firm focused on quantitative strategies, risk management and alternatives. Kelemen, who starts on 1 September, joins from M&G Wealth Investments, where she served as CIO. Prior to M&G Wealth Investments, Kelemen has held senior positions at Brown Shipley & Co and Coutts.

Standard Chartered has appointed Yusuf Demiral as global head, wealth & retail banking (WRB) data, analytics & AI.

In this newly created role, Demiral will lead the bank’s WRB data, analytics and AI strategy across the end-to-end client journey. He brings over 25 years of banking experience, and was most recently group head of data analytics and customer relationship management for wealth and personal banking at HSBC. Demiral will join Standard Chartered on 7 July 2025.
