People moves: Van Lanschot Kempen, Mirabaud, and Weatherbys

Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management (UK) CEO, André Keijsers, is set to transition to a non-executive director role.

Effective from 1 September 2025, Keijsers will step down to pursue a new executive opportunity. Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management (UK) board chair, Johan Cras, will assume Keijsers’ responsibilities on an interim basis. The company has begun a process to appoint a permanent successor to Keijsers. Cras will look to ensure clients continue to receive high quality services and investment performance. He has held several senior management positions within Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management, leading the UK team between 2016 and 2019, and heading up wholesale and institutional clients until 2022.

Mirabaud Asset Management has appointed Gurdeep Bumbra as senior portfolio manager within its global equities franchise.

Based in London, he will serve as lead manager for the firm’s Global Focus equity strategy. Bumbra brings more than 20 years of experience in international equities, primarily at Pictet Asset Management, where he was a senior investment manager focused on international and emerging equities. Alongside his portfolio management responsibilities, he also spent a period overseeing research for international equities at the firm.

Weatherbys Private Bank has hired Edmund Harvey-Jamieson as a new senior private banker in its Edinburgh office.

Harvey-Jamieson started his career with Adam & Company and was chief operating officer for the NatWest Group private bank for eight years. More recently, he was senior banker for Barclays Private Bank & Wealth Management in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Harvey-Jamieson is also co-founder of the Woven Whisky company in Leith, is a chartered member of the Chartered Banker Institute, and is a longstanding member of the Royal Company of Archers. He will be the fifth private banker in Weatherbys’ Edinburgh office.
