People moves: 7IM, Stonehage Fleming, and Ocorian

Investment management firm 7IM has appointed Daniel Willsher as head of network relationships and Lloyd Swinton as senior platform relationship manager.

Willsher will lead a new client support team as 7IM launches its Network Relationship Desk, which will focus on supporting and developing network firm relationships. Willsher has more than a decade of experience in the sector, joining from Guardian Financial Services and having previous roles at Aviva and M&G. Meanwhile, Swinton will lead a team of platform relationship managers operating across the UK to support partner firms and develop deeper engagements. He joins 7IM from M&G, and previously worked at Cofunds, Aegon and Skandia.

Stonehage Fleming Investment Management has promoted Nick Burchett to manage two funds.

Burchett will assume full management of two of the firm’s funds: TM Stonehage Fleming Opportunities Fund and the TM Stonehage Fleming AIM Fund. Paul Mumford will remain actively involved in the management of both funds in his new capacity as senior fund adviser, and will provide guidance to Burchett. The investment philosophy of both funds will remain unchanged. Burchett has had a career in the City for 40 years, the last seven of which have been working alongside Mumford on the two funds.

Ocorian has appointed Colm O’Brien as head of EMEA sales – funds.

Prior to joining Ocorian, O’Brien was BNP Paribas Securities Services managing director, global head of sales, alternatives, and was focused on establishing and building a global alternatives client development team. Previous experience in his 20-plus year career includes a senior business development director role at SS&C Fund Services as well as business development roles at Investec.
