AYU launches matching service for family offices and funds

AYU has launched a matching service, AYU Capital, that aims to connect funds and founders with verified family office investors.

The global private members' community for family offices and alternative investment funds said the offering would give those seeking investment the ability to understand appetite from the family office market, and to be connected with interested investors.

Family offices will gain access to curated deal flow, including introductions to funds and deal opportunities, while remaining anonymous.

AYU stated that the family office to fund/founder connection had historically been characterised by inefficiency and unsolicited pitches for family offices, resulting in non-comparable data and frustration.

Meanwhile, it argued that funds and founders were wasting time and money trying to identify and pitch investors.

Its AYU Capital offering and AI-driven platform, Cupid, will look to match opportunities and investors, make introductions, and curate meetings to help address these issues.

Cupid uses insights to find connections and generate introductions, with nearly 500 family offices connected to deal flow.

The platform accepts submissions from a range of private capital opportunities and alternative funds, including direct investments, hedge funds, venture capital, private equity, private credit, real estate funds, and digital assets.

It also provides a structured environment to facilitate family offices’ co-investment opportunities.

AYU Capital has been launched following a year-long trial, with the first deal matches and transactions having already been made.

“This new service has been developed in response to demand from our members for a platform that prioritises the specific needs of family offices,” said AYU CEO, Gus Morison.

“Other cap intro platforms have put tech and deal flow first, but few understand that there’s no point having the tech and deal flow, if you don't have people who trust you enough to use it.

“AYU Capital and Cupid reflect AYU’s people-first and product-second philosophy.”
