Söderberg & Partners Platform, Seccl, and Plannr Technologies have successfully launched a new integration which will deliver a fully unified, API-first ecosystem for financial advisers and their clients.
The announcement marks the second phase of the collaboration and has moved the partnership closer towards providing an end-to-end advice experience powered by open technology.
Seccl, Söderberg Platform, and Plannr are all built API-first with fully open architectures, and the shared technical philosophy has allowed data, workflows, and the client experience to operate as one cohesive system within the Plannr interface as part of the integration.
Plannr serves as the operating system, with the Söderberg platform, powered by Seccl, managing custody, trading, settlement, and tax wrappers, while seamlessly feeding data and functionality into Plannr’s interface.
The second phased has introduced a range of capabilities designed to eliminate friction across the advice journey, meaning advisers can now create clients and platform accounts directly within Plannr, removing the need to switch systems or rekey data. Advisers can also operate within one continuous workflow inside Plannr, while clients can be onboarded through an intuitive journey within Plannr’s client portal, accessing both platform and non-platform data.
Söderberg & Partners CEO, Nick Raine, commented: “Advisers shouldn’t have to fight their technology. The repeated complaints of spending your day across multiple platforms is gone.
“The future is systems that work together so seamlessly that rekeying data and juggling multiple logins become a thing of the past. With clients receiving a more centralised and holistic experience, it's a win for all parties.”
Seccl CEO, David Ferguson, said: “This is exactly what API-first infrastructure is designed to enable. When every platform is built to be open and interoperable from the ground up, you unlock experiences that simply aren’t possible with legacy technology.
“This partnership shows what the future looks like, where custody, data and functionality flow seamlessly into the tools advisers actually use.”
Chief technical architect at Plannr, Gareth Thompson, added: “The real innovation isn’t just building features, it’s removing the barriers between them. When platforms integrate at this depth, made possible only by API-first architecture, users stop thinking about systems altogether. They just get on with delivering great advice.”
