Clifton Wealth Partnership acquires Dukes IFA

Clifton Wealth Partnership (CWP) has completed the acquisition of Hertfordshire-based financial planning firm, Dukes IFA, for an undisclosed amount.

The transaction will add approximately 170 client households and £43m in assets under management (AUM) to CWP.

CWP is a financial planning and wealth management business and is part of Bristol-based Clifton Group, which has over 15,000 clients, 180 employees and £3.7bn in AUM.

The wealth manager said it has a focus on partnering with advice firms where there is a strong alignment on client care and long-term relationships, and that its acquisition of Dukes IFA reflects this approach, with a clear emphasis on continuity for clients and a structured transition for the adviser.

Dukes IFA, based in Bushey, Hertfordshire, is led by director, Adrian Duke-Cohan, who has spent close to 40 years in financial services. Duke-Cohan will remain involved with the business for a transitional period of up to two years, supporting clients and ensuring a smooth handover.

“This has always been a relationship-driven business,” Duke-Cohan, commented. “I’ve spent many years building trust with clients and supporting them through different stages of life, so finding the right home for those relationships was essential.

“It has been a privilege to support clients over the years. This next step is about making sure they remain in a strong position, with the right people around them for the future.”

CWP managing director, Anthony Carty, added: “Adrian has built a highly regarded business with deep, longstanding client relationships. That level of trust reflects years of consistent advice and care.

“We are pleased to welcome Dukes IFA to Clifton. There is a strong alignment in how we think about client relationships and the role of financial planning over the long term.

“Our priority is to ensure clients continue to receive the same level of personal service they are used to, while benefiting from the wider support, technology and infrastructure we have in place across the group.”
