Ranmore Fund Management has launched a distribution share class for its flagship Ranmore Global Equity Fund, aimed at ultra high net worth individuals and institutional investors seeking bi-annual income payments.
The fund manager said the launch was in response to rising demand from discretionary managers looking for income from their equity exposure.
Its new share class pays out the underlying dividends to investors rather than reinvesting the dividends back in the fund.
A minimum investment of £10m applies to ultra high net worth individuals and institutional investors.
The share class will also be made available through investment platforms at a lower entry point to broaden access.
Ranmore said that the distribution share class is to be registered under HMRC’s Reporting Funds regime, seeking to ensure clear and tax-efficient income reporting for UK-based investors.
Commenting on the launch, Ranmore portfolio manager, Sean Peche, said: "The introduction of a GBP distribution share class is a natural step for the Ranmore Global Equity Fund.
“Many investors today want both capital growth and a steady income stream. This offering allows us to better meet those needs without compromising on our investment philosophy.”
