RBC Wealth Management has announced plans to hire more than 70 client-facing advisers across the UK, Jersey, and Republic of Ireland by the end of 2027.
The recruitment drive marks the next stage of the wealth manager’s Strategic Hiring Programme as part of its wider ambition to accelerate growth.
The firm’s hiring programme has been running since the beginning of the financial year, with more than 20 external candidates agreeing to join RBC to date.
Appointments have been made across several offices, including London, Bath, Cambridge, Marlborough, Bristol and Edinburgh, with further appointments expected in the coming months.
RBC Wealth Management has also been promoting from within its own business, with Jon Godfrey recently becoming head of office, west of England, and Sean Priestley being promoted to head of office for the south west of England.
These promotions sit alongside the recent announcement of Alisdair Dewar joining the Edinburgh team as head of office earlier this year.
Other new joiners include Jeremy Hill as a wealth manager in Marlborough; Ellen Jeffery as director, private wealth, in London; Sammer Nabi, Noopur Jain, and Jon Derbyshire as wealth managers in London; Christy Nevin as a wealth manager in Cambridge; and Barry O’Leary as a wealth manager in Bath.
“We’re entering an exciting chapter for RBC Wealth Management as we build and strengthen our teams to meet changing client needs and deliver on our growth ambitions,” said RBC Wealth Management Europe managing director, Hal Catherwood.
“Our plan is to become the leading advice-led wealth manager in Europe, attract and develop the very best people, and invest in technology that frees our advisers to do what they do best – supporting our clients.
“In our conversations with candidates, they are energised by our strategy, culture and propositions. They see the value of being part of RBC, combining global scale with personalised service, and they see the opportunity of joining high-performing teams already delivering for clients across the UK, Jersey and Ireland.
“These new hires are part of our growth strategy and sit alongside our deployment of new technology, focus on internal talent development and investment in new services which will help us support our clients to achieve their financial goals now and into the future.”
