Peoples moves: Citi Wealth, LGT Wealth Management, and Atomos

Citi Wealth has announced the appointment of Kate Moore as chief investment officer (CIO).

Moore will join Citi Wealth from BlackRock where she was most recently a portfolio manager and served as head of thematic strategy for its Global Allocation business. She joined BlackRock in June 2016 as chief equity strategist for the BlackRock Investment Institute and was appointed to the Global Allocation investment team in 2019. Prior to that, Moore was chief investment strategist for the private bank at J.P. Morgan, and held senior positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Moore Capital and Morgan Stanley. She will assume her new role of CIO at Citi Wealth in February where she will have “broad responsibilities” for leading the development and delivery of independent investment strategies for clients, advisers and relevant professionals across the business. She will also oversee Citi Wealth’s Chief Investment Office, Global Investment Committee, Investment Lab, and sustainable investing team.

LGT Wealth Management has named Phoebe Stone as its first chief sustainability officer (UK).

Prior to this role, Stone ran LGT Wealth Management’s sustainable investing client proposition, dedicated sustainable investment team, ESG integration and stewardship proposition for six years, having launched the division in 2018. She joined the firm in 2014 as a portfolio manager and was made a partner in 2020. As chief sustainability officer (UK), Stone will continue her work evolving LGT Wealth Management’s sustainable client proposition, which encompasses both private and public market investments, while also seeking to drive sustainable change throughout the firm’s operations and divisions. LGT Wealth Management has a 2030 net-zero target, with the creation of the chief sustainability officer (UK) position aiming to bring its sustainability efforts together into one cohesive strategy.

UK-based wealth firm Atomos has appointed Joshua Gennet as head of investments.

Gennet has held roles in derivative trading, portfolio management, risk analytics, sales, marketing and business management at Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas, and MSCI over a 25-year career. Most recently, Gennet co-founded Ethical Capital Opportunity (ECO) Advisors, a boutique UK investment management firm. Prior to which, he was head of MSCI’s Portfolio Management Analytics business in EMEA and a regional manager for the firm’s Analytics product line. Meanwhile, Rowan Stone has been promoted to investment director to support Gennet, having worked across both the portfolio management and investment teams at Atomos over the past five years.
