W1M Wealth Management has announced three new appointments to its private wealth team.
Paul Bentley has joined the private wealth team from the 1762 division of RBC Brewin Dolphin, where he had been a wealth director since 2019. He brings 26 years of experience to the role, having also previously worked at Kleinwort Benson and Mercer. Jenny Quan also joined W1M from the 1762 division of RBC Brewin Dolphin, most recently as a senior portfolio manager. Before joining RBC Brewin Dolphin, Quan was an associate director at Smith & Williamson. She brings 11 years of experience working with private clients to the firm. Finally, Luke Edy has joined from Citi Private Bank, where he spent the past eight years as a director and senior private banker. He has worked in financial services for 19 years, with previous relationship management roles at JPMorgan and Barclays.
Stonehage Fleming has appointed Mark Swart as head of family office division, Isle of Man.
Swart moved to the jurisdiction from the firm’s Jersey office, where he was a partner in the family office division. He will take responsibility for leading Stonehage Fleming’s family office business on the Isle of Man. Swart assumes the role having spent nearly a decade in the firm’s Jersey office serving international ultra and high net worth families as relationship manager, rising form senior associate in 2016 to partner in 2024. Prior to joining Stonehage Fleming, Swart worked in the financial sector in South Africa, starting his career as an auditor with Deloitte.
Financial planning and wealth management firm Suttons IFA has named Richard Higgs as a chartered financial planner.
Higgs brings 18 years of experience to the newly created role, joining from Equilibrium Financial Planner where he was an associate financial planner. He worked there for just over 10 years, prior to which he held several roles at Bank of New York Mellon. Higgs is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
