People moves: Rothschild & Co, Brooks Macdonald, Tideway Wealth

Rothschild & Co’s UK wealth management business has appointed Ben Gulliford as director to lead its Midlands-based team.

Gulliford joins the firm from Barclays Wealth, where he held senior roles working with ultra high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and family offices. He has led teams across the UK after initially joining as a private banker in 2006. Rothschild & Co said Gulliford’s appointment reflected a commitment to providing personalised wealth management services to clients and deepening local connections beyond London.

Brooks Macdonald has named Andy Robinson as chief people officer and member of its executive committee.

Robinson has joined Brooks Macdonald from Alantra, where he was global head of human capital and led the transformation of the function to support the business in delivering its strategic objectives. His previous executive leadership roles also include head of HR at Jupiter Asset Management, head of HR (UK) at UniCredit, and head of HR at Henderson Global Investors. At Brooks Macdonald, Robinson will report directly to chief executive officer, Andrea Montague.

Tideway Wealth has appointed Ben Gilfillan to its wealth management team.

Gilfillan joins Tideway from St. James’s Place, where he spent six years, most recently at Futura Financial Partners. He specialised in delivering bespoke financial advice to high net worth clients in the tech industry. Gilfillan is a regulated financial planner and is the founding member of the Aspiring Business Leaders’ Group, a professional network that aims to support the next generation of business leaders.
