Ortec Finance has appointed Mark Glover as managing director – head of UK wealth management.
The financial planning technology firm said the appointment was part of a wider initiative to support banks and wealth managers in the UK with solutions to meet the needs of high net worth clients. Glover has joined from HSBC, where he was global head of financial planning, brining more than 20 years of experience across wealth and retail banking. Ortec Finance said the appointment reflected rising demand for technology that enables goal-based, personalised financial planning at scale.
Multi-family office Stonehage Fleming has named Bev Stewart as head of family office, Jersey.
Stewart has more than two decades of experience within investment banking and private wealth. In addition to her new role, Stewart will continue to act as an adviser to wealthy international families and will support them with succession, governance and complex wealth requirements. She joined the Stonehage Fleming group in 2021 and succeeds Richard Stride, who will now serve as a trustee and key adviser to several of Stonehage Fleming’s high net worth families. Prior to joining the firm, Stewart was a director in the investment banking division of the Johannesburg-headquartered banking group, Absa.
Quilter has appointed Cat McInally as a tax and trust specialist in its specialist technical team.
McInally joins the firm in a new role supporting advisers across the north of the UK. With over 20 years of experience in financial services, McInally joins Quilter from M&G Wealth, where she served as an investment specialist. Before that, she spent 17 years at Prudential Assurance, taking on a variety of roles during her tenure. Reporting to Roddy Munro, head of technical sales at Quilter, McInally will be part of an eight-person ‘on the road’ team, supporting advisers with complex tax and trust planning. The team delivers workshops, events, and one-to-one sessions to help advisers navigate the tax landscape.
