The Openwork Partnership has announced two senior leadership appointments across the group.
Willem van Rooy will join Openwork as director of mergers, acquisitions and succession, taking up the position at the start of 2027. He will lead Openwork's Strategic Investments team, supporting the partnership’s development through strategic acquisitions and helping advisers and firms across the network navigate succession opportunities. Van Rooy joins from Quilter, where he was mergers and acquisitions director. Openwork also announced that Aidan Chavasse, who is currently its strategic investments director, will become chief financial officer (CFO) of Omnis Investments from January 2027. Chavasse has held several senior finance and strategy roles across Openwork, including as interim CFO and head of finance and strategy.
Quilter Cheviot has name Jack Herbert as head of business development EMEA and Laura Gibson as relationship director.
Herbert joins after nearly a decade with Rathbones, where he most recently served as international business development director, helping manage relationships with financial advisers, wealth managers, and private clients across the Channel Islands and other offshore financial centres. Prior to this, he worked for Standard Chartered Private Bank in its business development team for six years. Meanwhile, Gibson joins from HSBC where she was a relationship manager in Jersey and previously held senior roles at Citi in London. She will be responsible for developing and deepening relationships with a range of international private clients, trustees and intermediaries, and liaising with strategy teams.
Monument Bank has appointed Sunir Kapoor as an independent non-executive director.
Kapoor joined the board of the bank for the mass affluent in July 2026 and sits on its Audit Committee. He spent six years as a non-executive director at BBVA, where he served on the Technology Committee. Kapoor brings four decades of experience to the role, having founded and led several companies, taking one public, and selling two to Fortune 500 acquirers. He is currently non-executive chair of Kibo Ventures, a board member of Aizon and LatticeFlow, and a strategic adviser to HappyRobot.
