M&G has named Marcello Arona as chief financial officer of its asset management business, M&G Investments.

Arone joined the firm on 13 January with more than 20 years of experience in asset management. In his new role, Arone will be responsible for M&G Investments’ global financial operations, implementing its financial strategy and supporting long-term growth objectives. He joins M&G Investments from AXA, where his most recent role was AXA Investment Managers UK and AXA IM GS chief executive officer. At M&G, he will report to M&G chief financial officer, Kathryn McLeland.

Stonehage Fleming has announced the appointment of Stuart Parkinson as group CEO.

Parkinson joins the firm from Lombard International Group, where he was group chief executive officer. He brings more than 30 years of international experience in banking and financial services to his new role. Parkinson led Lombard International Group from April 2020, prior to which he was with HSBC Group for 27 years where his many leadership roles included chief investment officer at HSBC Private Banking & Wealth Management. His appointment was effective from 20 January and he will be based in Stonehage Fleming’s London office.

Skybound Wealth Management has appointed Danny Sutherland as group financial controller.

Sutherland will lead Skybound’s financial operations across multiple regions, bringing over a decade of experience as a chartered accountant. His previous roles include senior roles at Ghd, Hallmark, and SharkNinja. Skybound has also named Dmitriy Ermakov as group head of marketing.
