People moves: Insight Investment, Schroders, and Close Brothers

Insight Investment has named Raman Srivastava as chief executive officer designate.

Srivastava will replace current chief executive officer Abdallah Nauphal, who has decided to retire from Insight in the first half of 2025 after 20 years at the company, including 17 as chief executive officer. Srivastava will report to BNY Investments and Wealth global head, Jose Minaya. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the investment industry to the role, having most recent served as executive vice president and global chief investment officer at Great-West Lifeco. Srivastava has also held several board positions across the asset management and insurance sectors.

Schroders has appointed Philip Chandler as chief investment officer of Schroder Investment Solutions (SIS).

Chandler joined Schroders in 2003 and will maintain his current role as head of UK multi-asset while also stepping into the position of chief investment officer. Schroders stated that, since becoming part of the multi-asset team in 2009, Chandler had been “instrumental” in the team’s success, serving as co-manager of the Global Multi-Asset Portfolio range within SIS since its inception. With his appointment as chief investment officer, Schroders said Chandler would further enhance the SIS proposition by ensuring alignment between the UK multi-asset team and the model portfolio service range.

Close Brothers has announced the appointment of Mike Morgan as group chief executive, subject to regulatory approval.

Morgan will replace Adrian Sainsbury, who has stepped down from his position of group chief executive and executive director of the group. Sainsbury has stepped down following a period of medical leave to focus on his health. Morgan was previously Close Brothers chief financial officer between 2010 and 2018, and has been a director of Close Brothers Limited since 2010. His other previous roles include RBS divisional finance director and various senior positions at Scottish Provident.
