Wealth management group GSB has appointed Hugh Johnson as its chief operating officer (COO).
Johnson will be based in GSB’s London office and seek to support the firm’s expansion and growth. His previous roles include senior positions at The Fry Group and financial services firm Sanlam. At The Fry Group, Johnson was global head of operations and responsible for driving the evolution and integration of a multi-service, multi-jurisdiction proposition. At Sanlam, he was head of proposition in the wealth division, leading the design and delivery of the service proposition and managing teams across front and back office.
Investment management firm 7IM has appointed Tom Glossop as head of Microsoft Platform.
The company is seeking to expand its Transformation team as part of an investment into its proprietary platform. Glossop brings experience in delivering large-scale digital transformation projects, having previously worked as power platform lead at PwC. At 7IM, Glossop will “spearhead the development of the Microsoft stack, driving innovation and efficiency as part of the company’s broader technology and transformation agenda”, the firm stated. His previous roles also include PwC senior associate and DXC Technology Microsoft dynamics consultant.
Financial advisory network New Leaf Distribution has named Daniel Hobbs as its new chief executive officer (CEO).
The appointment has been approved by the Financial Conduct Authority, making Hobbs one of the youngest network CEOs in the UK at age 36. Hobbs joined New Leaf Distribution in 2012 as director of compliance, a position he held for five years before becoming managing director. As CEO, Hobbs will be responsible for leading New Leaf Distribution’s future growth plans. He replaces former CEO, Mark Hobbs, who has become chair, while Sam Wallis has been appointed as managing director.
