Defaqto has published a list of the most recommended adviser platforms in the first half of 2026.
The list is based on recommendations through Defaqto Engage, drawing on whole-of-market data covering more than 50 platforms and over 30 providers.
The Aviva Platform came out on top with a 30 per cent share of recommendations, followed closely by the Quilter Investment Platform, which received 27 per cent of recommendations.
These two platforms were the front-runners by a distance, with the Fidelity Adviser Solutions platform coming in third with 8 per cent of recommendations in H1.
The top three recommended platforms all retained their spots from the end of 2025, as did AJ Bell Investcentre Funds & Shares Service in fourth with 6 per cent of recommendations.
Scottish Widows Platform climbed three places to fifth, also with 6 per cent of recommendations, while Transact fell one place to sixth after also receiving 6 per cent of recommendations.
Aberdeen Elevate, Aegon Retirement Choices, and Aberdeen Wrap were in seventh, eighth, and ninth respectively, each with 4 per cent of recommendations.
Fundment Platform was a new entry to the list in 10th, receiving 3 per cent of recommendations on Defaqto Engage.
“As is commonly the case when we take the numbers for platform recommendations, Aviva and Quilter dominate the top two spots with more than half of all the recommendations in the top 10 falling to these two,” commented Defaqto insight manager for wealth and protection, Andrew Duthie.
“The former Embark platform, now Scottish Widows Platform, has seen growth. Its improvement in recommendations, in part due to advisers seeking to utilise brands they know well.
“Fundment performed extremely well in Defaqto's 2026 Platform Service Survey and has now entered the top 10 for adviser recommendations.
“This is likely a reflection of its commitment to providing a high-quality adviser experience, allowing advisers to focus more of their time on delivering value and better outcomes for clients.”
