Clifton Wealth Partnership acquires Suffolk-based financial planning firm

Clifton Wealth Partnership (CWP) has acquired Suffolk-based financial planning firm Morgan Law Financial Services for an undisclosed sum.

Morgan Law brings approximately 500 clients and £138m in assets under management (AUM) to the partnership, increasing Clifton Group’s total AUM to £4bn.

The firm is based in Ipswich and has five staff, comprising two advisers, two paraplanners, and an administrator, all of whom will remain in place.

Morgan Law director, Simon Browne, will remain with the business for a transitional period, supporting clients through the handover and helping to embed relationships with the wider CWP team.

As part of the transition, Morgan Law Financial Services will be rebranded as Clifton Wealth Partnership.

The deal brings CWP’s financial planning firm acquisitions up to four so far this year, adding a total of £330m AUM to the group.
