Attivo Investments launches to UK adviser market

Attivo Investments has launched in the UK and partnered with SEI to introduce managed portfolio service (MPS) ranges through a co-CIO model.

The new investment firm said it will aim to deliver cost-effective, value-driven services for advisers that link directly with the financial planning journey, looking to empower financial planners with solutions that take clients’ goal setting as a starting point for investment strategy, alongside fulfilling risk tolerance and returns metrics.

Stephen Harper is leading the business as CEO, while Charlotte Watson is the company’s CIO.

The pair previously launched Attivo Investment Management, which was sold to Quilter in 2017.

Attivo Investments has entered into a strategic partnership with SEI, leveraging the firm’s co-CIO solution in an effort to drive growth.

Three ranges of model portfolios will be offered initially, focused on goal-based investing with competitive fee structures.

Through its partnership with SEI and utilising a co-CIO structure for its MPS, Attivo Investments said it was able to prioritise client outcomes through a scalable, efficient operating framework that delivers value and transparency while aligning with regulatory standards and Consumer Duty.

Its model portfolio ranges includes ‘Low Cost’, which is six strategies designed with a light goals-based framework focused on preservation and accumulation, leveraging passive investment building blocks to replicate market performance.

Its ‘Core’ range consists of seven strategies designed with a heavily goals-based framework focused on preservation, accumulation, and withdrawal, utilising a manager-of-managers approach and focusing on reducing trade frequency and capital gains tax realisation.

The third model portfolio range was ‘APEX’, which is six unconstrained strategies designed for high-net-worth and experienced investors and focused on preservation and accumulation. This strategy includes additional asset classes, such as private equity and hedge funds.

“Our mission is clear: to provide financial planners with robust, scalable investment solutions that deliver tangible benefits to their clients,” stated Attivo Investments CEO, Stephen Harper.

“Attivo Investments has been designed to be a partner for financial planners, ensuring that we consistently deliver outcomes aligned with their clients’ goals. We have built an exceptional team to help make this vision a reality, and I’m incredibly excited about what the future holds.”

Attivo Investments CIO, Charlotte Watson, added: “Attivo Investments represents a fundamental shift in how we support financial planners and their clients. By focusing on goal-based investing and creating operating structures that prioritise efficiency and value, we’re able to meet the demands of both financial planners and today’s complex economic environment.

“Our collaboration with SEI - a backbone of the global financial services industry - is a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional value to financial planners and their clients. In addition to their asset management capabilities, SEI’s proposition leverages their expertise to help drive our growth.”

Attivo Investments operates independently from the Attivo Group, with both sharing the same parent organisation.

The firm stated that it has a distinct governance and oversight structure separate from the group.
