Investment consultancy Albion Strategic Consulting has partnered with P1 Investment Services to offer its Smartersuccess investment service on a discretionary basis.

Albion's Smartersuccess service seeks to support firms with building and running in-house investment programmes based around each company’s individual preferences and choices.

The partnership will provide financial advisers with access to Albion’s support with the portfolio construction process, ongoing governance, and client communications, alongside operational efficiencies through P1’s discretionary service.

Advisers will continue to be able to leverage the service to support their investment proposition on their preferred platforms.

However, by offering this service on a discretionary basis, P1 will take on the responsibility of execution and ongoing portfolio management, aiming to provide advisers with a more streamlined and cost-effective solution.

The partnership will seek to improve efficiency for financial planning firms by looking to alleviate the increasing regulatory and administrative burden advisers face.

Albion stated that, with P1 managing the operational aspects, advisers will be able to focus on delivering high-quality financial planning services to their clients.
