7IM brings in industry veteran Elizabeth Chambers as independent NED

Wealth and investment management firm 7IM has appointed Elizabeth Chambers as independent non-executive director (NED).

Chambers has more than three decades of executive and board-level experience from her career across financial and professional services, strategy, digital transformation, and product innovation.

Her current board positions include NED and Remuneration Committee chair at both cross-border payments provider Wise plc, and TSB Bank in the UK.

Chambers is also an adviser and investor director for a number of fintech and SAAS startups in the UK and US.

7IM hopes Chambers will bring insights to 7IM’s strategic plans to continue the development of its platform, with her appointment forming part of its growth plans and commitment to innovating its platform technology after major investment into the business by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan earlier this year.

Chambers' board experience includes serving as NED at Evelyn Partners for almost nine years, Vanquis Banking Group NED and Customer, Culture and Ethics Committee chair, and Hastings Group NED and Remuneration Committee chair.

She has also served on the Risk, Audit, Nominations and Technology Committees of these boards.

Chambers stated she was “very much looking forward” to working with the 7IM board and leadership team to support the firm’s delivery of an “unrivalled” experience to clients and fulfil its growth ambitions.

Commenting on Chambers’ appointment, 7IM CEO, Dean Proctor, said: “We are hugely excited to welcome Libby, who joins the business at a key stage in its growth.

“As a highly experienced financial services leader, her rich knowledge and advisory track record will prove invaluable alongside our accomplished board of directors.”

7IM board chair, Adrian Grace, added: “It’s a privilege for us to welcome somebody of Libby’s calibre onto the board.

“Her extensive experience in both the financial and technology sectors here in the UK and internationally makes her a valuable addition. We wish Libby a very warm welcome and look forward to working with her.”
