Skybound Wealth has partnered with private education provider GEMS Education to launch an initiative aimed at supporting families with tailored financial wellbeing programmes and advice.

The programme gives GEMS parents access to Skybound’s financial wellbeing resources, workshops, and advisory sessions, to guide families on challenges from immediate education costs to long-term retirement and legacy planning.

Skybound noted that school and university fees were rising faster than inflation in many countries, with international school fees increasing by an average of 5 per cent in 2023.

Beyond education, families living abroad were facing overlapping financial challenges that are often more complex than those in a single-country setting, the wealth manager noted.

These included relocation and mobility, cross-border tax exposure, retirement planning, wealth transfer, and financial literacy gaps.

Through the launch of the initiative, Skybound and GEMS are aiming to support families with aligning their education planning with broader financial security.

Parents will have access to sessions, workshops, and guidance that cover several topics, including education planning, family protection and insurance, retirement and pension reviews, tax-efficient structures, estate planning, and investment management.

Three Skybound advisers, Simon Athwal, Paul Butler, and Max Gerstein, have been appointed to work with GEMS families.
