Sarasin Asset Management launches US client MPS for UK advisers

Sarasin Asset Management (SAM) has launched the Sarasin US Client Model Portfolio Service (MPS) for UK advisers serving US-connected clients living outside the United States.

SAM is the London-based subsidiary of Sarasin & Partners focused on US-connected clients.

Its new dedicated service will expand its offering to UK advisers serving clients connected to the US but not living in the country.

The MPS provides an investment solution covering asset allocation, fund selection and risk management, with portfolios managed within defined risk parameters.

The Sarasin US Client MPS has been built on Sarasin & Partners’ existing MPS offering and comprises of three strategies: Balanced, Growth and Equity.

Each strategy is available in both GBP and USD, aiming to provide flexibility for advisers managing the finances of US-connected clients.

SAM said the introduction of the MPS addressed several challenges associated with serving US-connected clients, such as the complexity associated with cross-border investment and reporting requirements, and the challenges of servicing discretionary portfolios of differing sizes.

The MPS will also look to support advisers managing international wealth transfers, whose clients’ circumstances change through relocation between the UK and US.

“Clients are more mobile than ever, moving between the UK and US for work, family and lifestyle reasons, and that creates increasingly complex investment and reporting needs,” commented SAM director, Nick Wood.

“The launch of our US MPS gives advisers a dedicated investment solution for US-connected clients, combining our long-standing investment expertise with the flexibility to support advisers and their clients, as their circumstances evolve.

“As advisory firms continue to consolidate across the US and UK, demand for scalable, efficient solutions that can support cross-border client needs is only increasing.

“This launch is designed to meet that need, allowing us to support advisers and their clients across different stages of their wealth journey while maintaining the same high-conviction, long-term investment approach.”
