Quilter Cheviot is expanding its managed portfolio service (MPS) with the launch of a short-term ‘liquidity’ portfolio and a widening of its index-tracker MPS range.
To mark 25 years of its MPS, the Liquidity MPS will be launched on 30 October, aiming to complement the existing range by targeting advisers who have clients with short-term capital requirements and planned withdrawals.
It can be used as a standalone strategy or alongside the Building Blocks and Index+ portfolios.
The portfolio primarily invests in a range of money market funds and has a portfolio management cost of 0.10 per cent.
Quilter Cheviot has also added three new strategies to its index-tracker portfolios and renamed the range from IDX to Index+.
The Index+ MPS now spans the same seven risk levels as the Building Blocks MPS and primarily combines index-tracking funds with active alternatives accessed through the Building Block funds.
Quilter Cheviot actively manages the overall asset allocation of the Index+ portfolios, with the total cost of the on-platform managed portfolio ranging from 0.28 per cent to 0.37 per cent.
“Over the past 25 years, advisers have navigated changing tax rules, new regulations, evolving technologies, shifting client needs and geopolitical turmoil,” said Quilter Cheviot managing director – distribution, Michelle Andrews.
“Throughout it all, experienced investment management and diversified portfolios have remained essential. The continued growth of managed portfolio services reflects that enduring need.
“This milestone is an opportunity to give advisers greater choice and practical innovations that can materially improve client outcomes.
“Choice matters in a highly personalised market. By introducing a liquidity strategy and an enhanced index range, we are helping advisers serve a broader range of clients without compromising asset allocation discipline or cost efficiency.”
Quilter Cheviot head of MPS, Simon Doherty, added: “Advisers need investment solutions that deliver strong outcomes and demonstrate clear value for the costs and charges clients pay.
“The Liquidity MPS and Index+ range are designed to do exactly that, offering actively managed portfolios across risk profiles with distinct investment approaches and cost points.
“Our Building Block funds have strengthened our fully active MPS, and we are pleased to be utilising them across what is now a full suite of index-tracking strategies.
“The funds were designed to improve transparency and enable portfolio construction cost-effectively, and their performance over the past five years reinforces our confidence in the approach.”
