People moves: Nedbank Private Wealth, Vanguard, and Ocorian

Nedbank Private Wealth has named Andrew Corlett OBE as chair of its board.

Corlett joined the Nedbank Private Wealth board in March 2020 as a non-executive director, following a career spanning legal, financial, and public service roles. From 1998 to June 2019, Corlett serviced as chair and managing director of Cains, a legal and professional services group. His experience also includes serving on numerous Isle of Man government and supranational committees, as well as holding former non-executive directorships, including chair of Barclays Private Clients International and positions within the HSBC and Swire Groups. The appointment has unanimous support of the board and is subject to regulatory approvals.

Vanguard has appointed Gillian Hepburn as head of adviser solutions, UK.

The firm said the appointment reflected its ongoing commitment to investing in and prioritising its adviser solutions offering. Hepburn has more than 30 years of experience in financial services, with a career spanning senior roles in business development, intermediary solutions, and strategic partnerships. At Vanguard, Hepburn will be responsible for driving the development of Vanguard’s model portfolio services, managing strategic relationships with platform partners, and overseeing the evolution of the broader adviser solutions offer.

Ocorian has announced the appointment of Nana Aboagye as client director, private client, in Guernsey.

Aboagye brings more than 16 years of experience with ‘big four’ firms in the UK, Ghana, and Guernsey. She specialises in multi-jurisdictional tax, corporate and personal taxation, and advising on complex international structures. Her expertise also includes supporting clients with economic substance and Pillar Two requirements, as well as reviewing and optimising corporate structures. In her new role, Aboagye will look to strengthen Ocorian’s private client services in Guernsey, bringing technical expertise and international perspective to support clients with increasingly complex wealth and structuring needs.
