People moves: M&G, LGT Wealth Management, and Sarasin & Partners

M&G has appointed Matt Mansour as chief technical and AI officer, subject to regulatory approval.

Mansour will oversee the company’s technology, digital and AI strategy and, as a member of its Group Executive Committee, have responsibility for driving innovation and cyber security, and ensuring technology continues to support M&G’s strategic growth ambitions, customer experience and regulatory requirements. He brings more than 30 years of experience to the role, most recently consulting at SMBC Group as chief operating officer for AI enablement and next gen technology. Mansour was also part of the founding executive team for kAIgentic, where he is now a strategic adviser. Prior to this, he spent seven years at QBE Insurance, where he was group executive for technology and operations, and previously group chief information officer.

LGT Wealth Management has named Richard Brown as a wealth manager in its Leeds office.

Brown joins LGT Wealth Management with nearly 40 years of experience in private banking and wealth management, most recently as a director at Union Bancaire Privée and formerly at Kleinwort Hambros, where he led the Yorkshire office and served as a senior private banker. Prior to this, he held wealth management and private banking roles at Coutts and Lloyds Bank Private Banking. At LGT Wealth Management, Brown will advise clients across Yorkshire, working with colleagues to deliver tailored investment and wealth planning services.

Sarasin & Partners has appointed two new partners from its charities and private client teams.

Tom Lindsey has been named as a partner from its charities team, while Ben Gilbert has become a partner from its private client team. Lindsey joined Sarasin & Partners in 2017 and manages multi-asset portfolios on behalf of charities, endowments and not-for-profit institutions. He has more than 15 years of investment experience across multi-asset and absolute return portfolios. Meanwhile, Gilbert joined the firm in 2019 and is responsible for its model portfolio service and suite of managed funds, as well as portfolios on behalf of UK private clients and professional intermediaries.
