People moves: EV, Attivo, and Evelyn Partners

Financial services technology provider, EV, has appointed Sam Turner as director of systems innovation to advance its financial planning and advice solutions.

Turner will focus on the continued evolution of EV’s multichannel solutions and work on streamlining its clients’ advisory processes, helping them navigate challenges and deliver advice more efficiently and effectively. He has spent more than 20 years working in financial services, with particular expertise in platforms, pensions investment propositions, and automated financial planning. Turner joins EV from Altus Consulting, where he spent eight years, and has also held key consultancy roles with James Hay Partnership and Aegon UK.

Chartered independent lifestyle financial planning business Attivo has appointed Jo French as its CEO.

The firm stated that French would lead the delivery of operational improvements through the deployment of new technology and an operational excellence change programme to ensure the business continues to grow, and improve the client experience and service. She will also take on the running of the investment operations team and will be responsible for Attivo’s investment platform strategy. French brings over 25 years of global business experience to the role. She has previously worked as chief operating officer at Benchmark Capital, before then taking responsibility for the Complex Client and Commercial Portfolio in the role of business transformation director at Schroders. Her previous experience also includes a range of technical and transformational leadership roles as MD at specialist SIPP firm Pointon York, and MD for operations and service recovery at Embark Group. She also spent six years with NFU Mutual Insurance.

Evelyn Partners has hired Stuart Whitehead to strengthen its cyber security practice.

Whitehead will join the firm’s Manchester office and has more than 25 years’ experience providing cyber security and digital consulting services to clients across the UK, Europe and the US. He joins Evelyn Partners’ professional services business from Deloitte where he was a partner and led the firm’s UK cyber digital transformation practice.
