Oakglen Wealth has received regulatory approval from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to acquire Aurea Financial Planning.
Completion of the acquisition is expected later this month, subject to completion and customary closing arrangements.
Oakglen said the approval marked a significant milestone in the process as it looks to expand its services to include financial planning in the UK.
It added that the acquisition would strengthen its ability to provide both wealth management and financial planning services to clients.
The continuity of service for Aurea’s existing clients will be maintained, with Oakglen bringing the Peterborough-based financial planning firm’s client relationships into the group.
“Receiving FCA approval is an important milestone and brings us closer to completing the acquisition of Aurea,” commented Oakglen group head of wealth management, Jamie Crawford.
“Financial planning is an increasingly important part of our long-term strategy, and Aurea’s reputation, people and client relationships make it an excellent fit for Oakglen.
“We look forward to working together and building on the strong foundations already in place.”
Aurea Financial Planning managing director, Becky Taylor, added: “This is a positive step for our business, our colleagues and our clients.
“We look forward to joining Oakglen and continuing to deliver the same high-quality advice and personal service that our clients have come to expect.”
