Finli Group makes five acquisitions in Q3

Financial planning business Finli Group completed five acquisitions in the third quarter of 2026.

Leabold Financial Management in Abercynon, Falkirk-based Donald Watt, Paul Simons FS in Glasgow, Sheffield-based Steve Bonell, and Simms Raymond in Boreham Wood were all acquired for undisclosed sums.

Finli has now completed 18 acquisitions this year so far, as it seeks to provide a long-term home for advice firms and client banks with succession plans.

The latest deals span Wales, Scotland, Yorkshire, and Hertfordshire, which Finli said reinforced its nationwide presence and its approach of supporting clients locally within a national financial planning group.

Finli chief acquisitions officer, James Bryce, said that the acquisitions further demonstrated the role the group can play for owners of advice businesses of different sizes and locations that are considering their next step.

“Succession means handing over relationships built often over decades,” he added.

“Owners therefore need confidence that their clients will receive the personal attention they are used to, alongside the support and resources of a wider group.

“With 18 acquisitions completed this year, we carry on building our presence across the UK.

“Crucially, though, each deal brings a responsibility to make the handover seamless for clients and to ensure trust earned over decades is matched by the service we provide in the years ahead.”
