Corient completes acquisitions of Stonehage Fleming and Stanhope Capital Group

US-based wealth manager and multi-family office Corient has completed the acquisitions of Stonehage Fleming and Stanhope Capital Group.

The firm said the acquisitions, for undisclosed amounts, made it the world’s largest non-bank wealth manager and multi-family office focused on serving high net worth (HNW) and ultra HNW clients.

They have resulted in Corient’s global assets surpassing US$500bn, with more than 300 partners and over 2,200 employees.

With the closing of the transactions and the receipt of regulatory approval for Corient’s expansion into Canada, the firm now serves clients from offices in the US, Canada, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Corient was founded in 2020 and operates under a private partnership model with a client-first approach.

It said this structure gave clients access to the full breadth of expertise across Corient rather than depending on a single adviser.

The acquisitions were first announced in September 2025.
