Investment management firm 7IM has partnered with Cloud Direct to accelerate its digital transformation, aiming to enhance the adviser and client experience.

The partnership forms part of a multimillion-pound and multi-year investment in 7IM’s proprietary platform and supporting technology.

7IM said the partnership demonstrated its commitment to improving client and adviser experiences by providing advisers with a streamlined platform to build strong client relationships and develop financial plans.

Cloud Direct is one of the UK’s Microsoft Partners and has experience in managing large-scale, regulated projects.

It will work with 7IM to build a new cloud-based infrastructure that aims to enable better scalability, while supporting growth and improving client experience.

The project also aims to deliver new features and enhancements more quickly, the most recent being automated pension transfers and its online reporting suite.

7IM said the partnership would strengthen its cloud engineering capabilities and accelerate the delivery of its transformation programme.

The implementation of new Microsoft technologies has also embedded further security protocols and compliance measures to safeguard client data.

The partnership will also look to support the upskilling of the 7IM team to better equip them to deliver systems that meet the evolving needs of advisers and clients.
